Thank You, Technical Director!

Finally! We have our DSL service back, and are back in action with our blog. Scroll down for a few quick updates from the past weeks, written by Allie. Skyler will be co-authoring again next weekend. And thank you to our technical director, pictured here, for the endless battles with BellSouth to get the DSL up and running again. It helps having a lawyer in the family:-)

The Belly

Grrrr....Allie isn't used to having a big belly, and doesn't like showing pictures of it! But after several requests, she has conceded to reveal a few photos of "the belly" as of June 25. Grrr....

Wannado City

This weekend we went to a place called Wannado City--an indoor city where kids get to try out different jobs and see what they like the most. Skyler tried: doctor, lawyer, grocery store clerk, pilot, paleontologist, police woman, EMT, firefighter, chef, and bottling plant worker.

Father's Day Weekend

On Saturday of Father's Day weekend we visited Allie's dad John in Stuart, Florida. We:
* went swimming
* saw a snake in the secret garden
* made pottery at Allie's dad's studio
* made and ate lots of homemade cookies
* Erik ate a raw shrimp! (by accident, of course)
We will go back another day to decorate the pottery we made in these pictures.

On Father's Day Sunday, Skyler and Allie had to DO ERIK'S BIDDING. It was a challenge...we had to:

* make and feed him breakfast in bed, in several courses
* rub his feet!
* massage his back
* watch the History Channel with him
* feed him grapes by hand
* not complain when he played Civilization Three video game

There aren't any photos of any of this, since we were too busy doing his bidding to take pictures!

Skyler's Seventh Birthday

Skyler's birthday was May 19. Erik and Allie decided to do a surprise birthday scavenger hunt for the presents when she woke up on Saturday morning, and we all had lots of fun...even Ming, who got to announce the Hunt with a note on his collar! We made a movie of the hunt instead of taking photos, so if you'd like a copy of the DVD, let us know and we will mail you a copy. Happy Birthday Skyler!
